W型鎖式接鏈環只可用于立環使用，由于采用了不與鏈輪接觸的立式連接，所以可以防止鏈輪由于制造誤差對接鏈環造成的損壞，提高了接鏈環的使用壽命。W型鎖式接鏈環可以與D級鏈條配合使用。
W lock connectors are designed specially for joining the mining chain in weld chain link.It does not need directly engaged with the sprocket which may cause abrasion to the link .This kind of connector can be fitted with chain connector in Grade 100 and leads the longer work life.

W-lock connectors have been designed specially for joining together Mining chains .The tensile and fatigue performance is particularly impressive and has been achieved by careful seletion of raw materail containing Cr. Nr.Mo and heat treatment during the manufacturing process.
The connectors which are for use in the vertical plane only are produced dimensionally in accordance with DIN22258 Part3 and are extremely sprocket friendly where these have been designed with this specification in mind .W-lock connectors are lighter in weight compared with the equivalent chainlock connector.
